Progressive rock four-piece Coheed and Cambria will perform their seminal third album, Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness, in its entirety at New York City’s Terminal 5 on Friday, May 5 at 8 p.m. Also on the bill, which is part of Coheed and Cambria’s NEVERENDER GAIBSIV tour, is special guest The Dear Hunter.
Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness is the first installment of a two-part conclusion based on frontman Claudio Sanchez’s long-running sci-fi storyline, “The Amory Wars.” The album, released by Columbia Records in September 2005, landed at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, partially due to the success of its first two singles “The Suffering” and “Welcome Home.” A third single, “Ten Speed (of God’s Blood & Burial), was also released as a music video.
Coheed and Cambria released The Color Before the Sun, their latest and eighth studio album overall, in October 2015 via 300 Entertainment. The Jay Joyce-produced album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart and spawned two singles: “You Got Spirit, Kid” and “Here to Mars.”
Also on the bill is The Dear Hunter. The progressive rock ensemble, based in Providence, Rhode Island, is touring in continued support of seventh full-length, Act V: Hymns with the Devil in Confessional. The album, released in through Cave and Canary Goods and Equal Vision Records in September 2016, is the fifth installment in a six-part concept series. Act V debuted at No. 48 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the singles “The Revival” and “Light.”
